Per observation, the name Pinto Art can be rooted from the Filipino word “Pinto” or door in English this may be true if you tour the whole Museum, you will see various of old doors accentuated the whole gallery. Another thing is the meaning of the word “Pinto” or door, entrance to a place. Once you set your feet to the Museum you will enter a place where art and nature collides and harmonizes. But this is just based on observation and deduction, the real meaning for the Museum’s name can only be answered by the owner.

Pinto Art Museum has a cafe inside named Cafe Pinto by Pappermill. Their menu varies from – meat to veggies, pasta to dessert, iced tea to wines. Their cusine can be classified mostly from Itallian side but with a touch of Filipino products. As for the price, well, you must be prepared. The price ranges from a minimum of Php 200 up to Php 1,000 but this can be shared by two to three persons.

Cloud 9

Originally Cloud 9 is a hotel but now a days the establishment was known not because of their service relations but because of the 360 view of Metro Manila and Antipolo by the use of their famous hanging bridge.

Yes folks, hanging bridge. A 500 metre walk in metals slope upward taht is suspended in mid air where you can see the pavement just below your feet. Scary.

It is indeed scary but once you stopped thinking and start looking you will see the magnificent city lights of Metro Manila at night or a sunset view at dawn. The nervousness and knee shaking walked was worth it when you reached the 360° view deck. The picturesque view is the payment for the heart pounding walk.

The whole experience in the hanging bridge and 360 view deck is worth Php 50.00 to be paid at the Information Center. There is free 30 minutes viewing time for diners and stay-in guests. The sky bridge viewing time will be available from 8:00-10:00 Monday to Sunday. For safety purposes 15 person at a time can walked in the sky bridge.

You will use the staircase and travel the lateral bridge if you wished to go down the viewing deck. Take note the bridge this time is not the same as the first one.

Th experience in the 360° view deck is refreshing and relaxing, for the price, it is enjoying and worthwile. You can’t experience the Manila City Lights and the Antipolo scenery for just 50.00.

If you want to break away from polution, stress and traffic in just one day Antipolo City is just a two hours travel/drive from Metro Manila. Among the City’s offered tourist destinations, Pinto Art Museum and Cloud 9 may not be in the top choices but if you want to experience and enjoy the beauty of art mixed with the freshness of nature these two is the best among the choices.
